+First Landing State Park Family Photoshoot+

+CrossFit and Climbing trees+

Ok major update time- I've been hoarding some photoshoots that I need to finally share! This past fall brought so many changes for us including a move from Virginia Beach to Norfolk, from an apartment to a house, and from me working an office job to pursuing photography full-time! It also brought about the need to find a gym closer to our new locale and in the spirit of new/exciting/challenging myself I decided to give CrossFit 757 a try.

Now to be honest I've kind of always been intimidated by, even resistant to, the idea of trying CrossFit for so many reasons. But the more I thought about it I knew that I didn't want to hold myself back from trying something and realized that I would regret it if I didn't just go for it!

I remember pulling up to the building feeling so nervous! But I have to say that since my first time stepping into their gym, Autumn and John (owners of CrossFit 757) made me feel so welcomed and included, even being such a beginner. I made it through the foundations class and remember talking with Autumn about photography and getting together for some family photos since they haven't had any taken since their new (adorable!) baby Ryder.

Here are a few photos from our Sunday afternoon together at First Landing State Park- climbing trees and taking pictures. It was such a gift to get a little glimpse into this sweet family's life together. I'm so grateful to spend the day with them and to have had this opportunity to get to know them a bit outside of the gym too!

And if you're in the area and up for a challenge definitely check out CrossFit 757
